Holiday Closure and Crisis Support Information

As the holiday season approaches, we want to inform you that the Integrative Centre for OCD Therapy will be closed for the Christmas period from Friday 20th December 2024 until Monday 6th January 2025 (Current clients: Unless your therapist has agreed other dates with you). During this time, our team and the office will not be monitoring emails or phone messages. Rest assured, we will respond to any messages as soon as possible after we return on 6th January 2025.

While our services will be unavailable during this period, we want to ensure you have access to support and resources in case you are in crisis or need urgent help.

Support in a crisis

If you are in crisis and need urgent support or care, please consider taking some of the following steps:

1. Contact Emergency Services: If your situation is an emergency, please go to A&E (Accident & Emergency) or call the relevant emergency services.

2. Talk to Someone:

- Call 116 123 to speak to a Samaritan. This service is free, confidential, and available 24/7.

- Visit the Samaritans’ website: https://www.samaritans.org/

3. Support for Children and Young People:

- Contact PAPYRUS for support on suicide prevention for young people. Visit: https://www.papyrus-uk.org/ Phone, text and email options available on the website.

4. Global Helplines:

- If you are outside the UK or need access to international support, this blog lists suicide hotlines and helplines globally: https://blog.opencounseling.com/suicide-hotlines/ (we have not checked, nor are familiar with all hotlines listed).

5. Create a Safety Plan:

- If you are feeling overwhelmed, creating a safety plan can be a valuable step. Visit https://stayingsafe.net/ST/ for guidance on developing a plan to help keep yourself safe.

We understand the holiday season can be a challenging time for many. If you are feeling distressed or need support, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of the resources listed above. Taking care of your mental health is important, and there are people ready to help.

We wish you a peaceful and safe holiday season and look forward to reconnecting with you in the New Year.

Warm wishes,

The Team at the Integrative Centre for OCD Therapy
