Join Our 4-Week Parent Support and Education Group for OCD
Are you a parent or caregiver seeking guidance and support in understanding and managing Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) for your child, teen or *young person (up to 25)? Find out more about our 4-week Parent Support and Education Group.
*We include parents of children up to the age of 25 years, based on data around brain development and societal changes that suggests adolescence should be considered up to 25. The group content is mostly suited to under 18s, however we want to include parents of up to 25 years.
About the Group
Led by child and adolescent counsellor and psychotherapist, Stuart Ralph, our Parent Support and Education Group is designed to empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge and some of the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of OCD.
Parenting can be hard, parenting with OCD even harder. We have created this group to bring some understanding to what is happening and ideas on how to move forward in a supportive environment.
At The Integrative Centre for OCD Therapy, we prioritise your family's well-being and offer a supportive environment where you can learn, share, and grow alongside fellow parents and caregivers facing similar challenges.
What We Offer
Insightful Sessions: Each session, lasting 90 minutes, delves into crucial topics including understanding OCD, understand the principles of SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), and fostering reconnection with your child. This is not an actual SPACE group, more psychoeducation around the key principles of SPACE.
Interactive Discussions: Engage in open discussions, Q&A sessions, and practical exercises aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of OCD and effective strategies for support.
Resource Guidance: Gain valuable insights into identifying appropriate therapy options for your child and discover helpful resources to aid in their journey towards recovery.
